Three Peach Bottom men were hospitalized — two with severe injuries — after a T-bone crash early Sunday at a Salisbury Township intersection.

Investigators, firefighters and medics from 10 Lancaster County agencies responded to the 2 a.m., two-vehicle crash at Route 340 and Meeting House Road.

Crews assisted nine occupants from a Pontiac coupe and a Lincoln sport utility vehicle involved in the crash.

Alcohol was a factor in the wreck, police said, but no charges had been filed by press time.

The Peach Bottom men were in a Pontiac driven by 20-year-old Michael Griffith. Brandon Kreider and Justin Jennings, both 19, were passengers in the Pontiac, police said.

Griffith was driving north on Meeting House Road and ran a stop sign at Route 340, according to state police.

Steven Lapp, 22, was driving the Lincoln SUV west on Route 340 and was unable to stop to avoid the collision, police said.

The SUV struck the passenger's side of the Pontiac, forcing the coupe onto a stop sign on the shoulder of the road, police said.

Firefighters removed the Pontiac's doors and roof to free the men trapped inside, investigators said.

Jennings, the most seriously injured, was flown to Lancaster General Hospital in a SkyCare medical helicopter. He was in critical condition Sunday night, a nursing supervisor said.

Griffith and Kreider were transported to LGH in ambulances. Kreider was in serious condition Sunday night, the supervisor said. Griffith was believed to have been treated and released.

Lapp, of Gordonville, and his five passengers were treated at the scene, but all refused to be taken to the hospital. They weren't wearing seat belts, according to police.

The passengers were Wilmer Beiler, 22, of Gordonville; Andrew Beiler, 20, of New Holland; Becky Fisher, 20, of Paradise; Ruth Ann Stoltzfus, 20, of Christiana; and Annie M. King, 19, of Brogue, York County.

Sections of Route 340 and Meeting House Road were closed for about 90 minutes while police investigated the crash and firefighters cleared the roadways.

State police declined to comment further on what charges may be filed, saying only it was a DUI crash.
