Trouble developed when three young males went to a Willow Street-area home early today to settle a grudge with a teenage boy, Southern Regional police said.
When the boy would not come out of his home on Baumgardner Road, a 14-year-old Lancaster boy kicked in the door and entered the house, police said.
Anthony May, 18, of 2089 Hollinger Road, Willow Street, followed the boy into the house, police said.
There were no injuries, but the teenager who lives at the home and his mother were alarmed by what happened at 3:44 a.m., Southern Regional Police Chief John Fiorill said.
May and the 14-year-old are being charged with offenses that might include criminal mischief, harassment and criminal trespass, Fiorill said.
A 19-year-old Lancaster man was with May and the 14-year-old, but he might not be charged, police said.
In another overnight case, Lancaster police arrested four young males who allegedly were stripping a stolen car in a parking lot off the 500 block of North Franklin Street.
Shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday, a citizen alerted police to suspicious activity in the parking lot. Three 16-year-old boys and a 19-year-old fled when officers from Platoon B pulled into the lot.
Police said the group was in the process of stripping an older-model Acura sedan that allegedly had been stolen from a woman who lives in the 300 block of East Chestnut Street.
The 19-year-old, identified by police as Felix Rafael Alameda, of 204 N. Reservoir St., Apt. 2, was charged with receiving stolen property, criminal conspiracy and criminal trespass, police said.
The three 16-year-olds were charged with criminal trespass and curfew violation, police said.
In another case, Manheim Township police have linked a Maryland man to four house-burglary incidents that occurred about a month ago on streets near the Lancaster Shopping Center.
Joseph M. Dorsey IV, 36, of Towson, stole items from a home on Leona Avenue and tried to enter homes in the 100 block of Hess Boulevard, 300 block of Butler Avenue and 1600 block of Ridgedale Avenue, Detective Brent Shultz said.
The incidents happened between May 24 and May 30. Two digital cameras valued at $650 were taken from the Leona Avenue home, Shultz said.
Shultz has charged Dorsey with burglary, theft, criminal attempt at burglary and two counts of loitering and prowling.
Dorsey currently is being held in Lancaster County Prison on charges from burglaries in Lititz, police said.
