The Fourth of July is just around the corner, and with it comes one thing above all else: fireworks.
At least half a dozen fireworks displays will take place in Lancaster County in various Independence Day events.
The lights and sounds of freedom can be seen and heard throughout the county from the week before the Fourth to the Sunday after.
Below is a list of venues hosting firework shows.
Friday, June 27
• Lancaster will set off fireworks as part of Celebrate Lancaster at 10 p.m. from the Duke Street parking garage. Admission is free.
Saturday, June 28
• Marietta will hold a fireworks display at 11 p.m. at War Memorial Park. Admission is free.
Friday, July 4
• Ephrata will host a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. at Lincoln Heights Outdoor Recreation Area, 130 S. Academy Drive. Admission is free.
• The Lancaster Barnstormers will hold a fireworks display after their game against the York Revolution. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. Game tickets are between $5 and $11.
• Lititz will host its annual fireworks show at 10 p.m. at Lititz Springs Park. In case of rain, the event will be held July 5. Tickets are between $4 and $10.
Sunday, July 6
• Long's Park in Lancaster will display fireworks after the 257th Army Band's concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.
