Police say two Denver men have confessed to breaking into an East Earl Township store and stealing more than $3,000 worth of metal products.
David Wanner and Christopher Kulp, both 22, also are accused of taking a rifle during the burglary last week at Terre Hill Farm Supply on Union Grove Road, according to court documents.
The stolen .22-caliber rifle, brass fittings and copper wire are estimated to be worth $3,339, according to a police affidavit.
East Earl police Officer Michael Vance charged both suspects with five felonies, including burglary and criminal conspiracy.
The men were in Lancaster County Prison Wednesday night. Kulp's bail was set at $75,000, and Wanner's at $50,000.
The owner of the business told police he saw the men flee in a 1992 Jeep Comanche shortly after the early morning burglary last Thursday. He recorded the vehicle's license plate number and a description of the vehicle, the affidavit states.
The owner called police, and they traced the vehicle to Wanner's home.
