Indoor City, a decorating center specializing in flooring, is completing a $250,000 renovation and expansion of its showroom at 481 Harrisburg Pike.

The work, expected to be fully finalized in mid-June, has added 5,000 square feet of former warehouse space to the showroom, giving the store 12,000 square feet for displays.

The store moved its warehouse to a nearby site on Manheim Pike.

Store hours: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Starbucks at Rockvale

Starbucks is eyeing a new location in an existing bank at Rockvale Outlets.

Plans filed with East Lampeter Township describe a 624-square-foot addition to the small Susquehanna Bank behind Burger King along South Willowdale Drive. The result is a 1,841-square-foot Starbucks with seating for 54.

Starbucks already has coffee shops nearby at 2208 Lincoln Highway East and inside the Target. The company did not respond to a phone message or an e-mailed request for comment on its latest plans.

Township planners will review the Starbucks proposal in June, with supervisors scheduled to consider it in July.

Susquehanna Bank will abandon its drive-through bank and move by mid-July to a new, full-service branch being built next to the Olive Garden at Rockvale, a bank spokesman said.

Sonic boom

Construction will begin next month on a new Sonic Drive-In just east of Mount Joy. It is set to open in mid- to late August.

The restaurant, on Route 230 just west of Elmcrest Boulevard, is being developed by the three partners who opened the Sonic near Tanger Outlet Center in late June 2007.

One of the partners said the new Sonic will be similar to the one near Tanger, which has a drive-through and curb service at 28 stalls. Hours 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

CVS plans

CVS is planning a new pharmacy near New Holland at the southwest corner of Route 23 and Shirk Road.

Under the plan, the drugstore company would keep 69,000 square feet of the existing 128,657-square-foot building at the site, then build its new store at the corner, across Shirk Road from Sheetz.

CVS already has a pharmacy less than a mile away at 417 W. Main St. in New Holland. A CVS spokesman did not comment on the plans or say whether the existing store would close if the new one opens.

Peruvian fare

La Costena Restaurant, which serves Peruvian food, opened last month at 315 W. King St.

The restaurant, which has seating for about 75, also offers take-out. It specializes in traditional chicken and seafood dishes, including ones featuring talapia and shrimp. Typical entrees cost $7 to $10.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.
