Restoration celebration
Celebrate renewal Sunday.
Restoration work on Country Manor, a cabin owned by The Church at Timberline, will be highlighted at an open house, 2 to 4 p.m., at the cabin, 30 Timber Lane, Strasburg.
Cabins on the grounds of the nonprofit church are part of a community outreach program for people with limited means.
Restoration was spearheaded by Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling of Lancaster, Lebanon, York and Chester counties, owned by Steve Rotay, as part of the annual Paul Davis Restoring America program, a home-improvement initiative for those in need.
Country Manor is a 20-by-26-foot one-bedroom cottage that was renovated in 2005 but nearly destroyed by an electrical fire in 2007.
Project volunteers, including Paul Davis employees, will be recognized at the open house.
Paul Davis Restoration, which has 230 locations, has specialized in providing emergency services for properties damaged by water, mold, fire or vandalism since 1966.
