The album features songs from a well-known artists, such as Natasha Bedingfield and Five for Fighting, as well as some work from lesser-known artists, including Chantal Kreviazuk and Brandi Carlile.

Several of the album's strong songs include "If God Made You (Remix)" by Five for Fighting, "I Want You to Know" by Kreviazuk and Shannon Curfman's "Sun's Gonna Rise."

In "If God Made You," Five for Fighing stays true to the airy, melodic style listeners have come to expect.

Kreviazuk, who landed two slots on the soundtrack, has been compared to Sarah McLachlan by fans because of her emotive sound in the ballads "These Days" and "I Want You to Know."

Shannon Curfman, who proved her musical worth at the age of 14, provides some relief from the heavier tracks which dominate the album in "Sun's Gonna Rise."

A few of the sore spots on the album can be found in Katy Perry's "Simple" and The Valli Girls' "Always There in You."

Perry caters to the Lizzie McGuire crowd a bit too much in "Simple," and "Always There in You" is enough to ease listeners into a snore.

Despite a few songs, the soundtrack is made of mostly good stuff. "Black Roses Red" by Alana Grace, "Be Be Your Love" by Rachael Yamagata and "Just For You" by William Tell are also on the album.

"The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants: Music From the Motion Picture" is something worth checking out and offers a good variety of music for your CD player.
