HomeSale Realty Services Group, headquartered at 215 S. Centerville Road, announced Tuesday it will end its alliance with Coldwell Banker and instead team up with Prudential Real Estate.
It will operate as Prudential Homesale Services Group in Lancaster County, as well as in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, and Lebanon counties.
Doug Rebert, a managing director of the holding company — the biggest real estate firm in the county — said the move will benefit customers and agents.
"Over the last 20 years, Prudential has developed a tremendous national network of agents, a great relocation division, and programs and services that provide real value to our customers," Rebert said.
The Lancaster headquarters oversees 1,000 real estate agents and 350 office personnel, including 500 employees here.
It said it represented buyers or sellers of $2.09 billion of real estate in 2007, the most in south-central Pennsylvania and 29th most in the nation.
The company also will operate as Prudential Bob Yost Homesale Services in York County; as Prudential Bob Yost — Sites Homesale in Adams County, and as Prudential Landis Homesale Services in Berks and Schuylkill counties.
HomeSale was Coldwell Banker's third-ranked affiliate nationwide in total transactions and closed volume, according to the company.
It was also the top-ranked Coldwell Banker affiliate in the state of Pennsylvania.
