Who says a watched pot doesn't boil?

A Manheim Township policeman was sitting in the parking lot of the Waffle House early this morning as part of his routine evening patrol, noticing that the restaurant at 1021 Dillerville Road was extremely busy.

And then, shortly before 3 a.m., a fight involving 10 to 15 people broke out inside the restaurant.

The policeman called for assistance as the fight spilled into the parking lot.

Eventually, with the help of half a dozen additional township police officers, Lancaster City police and its K-9 team, and the use of a Taser gun, the fight was subdued.

Two men, Erik Santana, 22, Schulykill Street, and Gabriel Laureano, 19, of Whittier, Calif., were each charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct, police said.

Three others, Bryan Williams Jr., 21, Euclid Avenue, Kerry Mobley, 21, South Ann Street, and Nayr Stephanie Anaya-Graciani, 18, of Almanac Avenue, were all cited for disorderly conduct, police said.
