Two Lancaster County bowlers qualified for today's Eastern Pennsylvania High School Bowling championships at 9 a.m. at Dutch Lanes and 2 p.m. at Leisure Lanes.
Samantha Santoro of Cocalico and Lampeter-Strasburg's Frank Kirk finished third and fourth, respectively, in Friday's action to advance to the finals.
The tournament is the final tournament of the bowling season and acts as the state championship.
Santoro is the defending state champion after a runner-up finish in 2006.
Santoro finished third in the girls' qualifying round on Friday with a two-series total of 1,183. She bowled 198-210-223 in the first series and 136-167-249 in the final series.
Lindsey Bitler (1,251) holds the top spot, while Cedar Cliff's Brooke Bower (1,190) is in second.
Kirk rolled 213-179-226 in his first series and finished with 194-190-278 in the final series.
