Eastbound Route 30 in Manheim Township was closed for hours this morning following a dump truck accident at the Route 283 merger point.
The truck overturned and spilled a load of stones on eastbound Route 30 at the "fly-over bridge'' over Route 283 at 4:30 a.m, township police Sgt. Thomas Rudzinski said.
The truck driver was not injured, but cleanup operations were expected to take hours.
Rudzinski said eastbound Route 30 probably will be closed until 8 or 8:30 a.m. Eastbound motorists should use the Chester Road artery as an alternate route.
