State police are looking for the person or people who stole and damaged $70,000 worth of radio-controlled items from a Narvon man.

The items were taken from a storage unit at 625 Kings Self Storage, 1451 Reading Road, Brecknock Township, state police said.

Greg R. Sands rents the unit and owned the items inside, police said. He noticed the missing and damaged items Tuesday morning.

The burglary occurred sometime since last Friday, police said.

As of Tuesday, no one had been arrested or charged in the burglary.

The burglar broke into the locked storage unit and stole radio-controlled aircraft engines, transmitters and receivers, police said. Two custom-made radio-controlled helicopters also were taken.

The burglar also damaged several radio-controlled airplanes beyond repair, police said.

State police at the Ephrata barracks are asking anyone with information about the break-in to contact them at 721-7667.
