Snickers, 1, is a chocolate Labrador retriever who is as sweet as his name. He loves attention and will return your love twofold.

Snickers is a young, active dog, and he would benefit from going to obedience training so that he can continue to develop into a great companion. He loves to play fetch and to spend time outdoors. He particularly enjoys romping around outside with other dogs and is a true gentleman when it comes to canine play. He will snuggle with you, but first he wants to play, play, play! His energy level would make him a great match for an active couple or for a family with older children.

Snickers is available for adoption at the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East. Shelter hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday; noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; noon to 5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The shelter is closed Wednesday.

The shelter's holiday hours are noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, and noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31. The shelter is closed Christmas and New Year's days.

Dec. 10 to 17 the league received 92 dogs and 129 cats. Forty-two dogs and 18 cats were adopted; 17 stray dogs were reclaimed by their owners. Previously featured pet Cotton has been adopted.
