Sedan strikes truck at Routes 241, 441

A West Donegal Township man was killed early Friday morning in a two-vehicle accident in Conoy Township.

Michael Patrick Self, 24 Briar Rose Trail, was westbound on Route 241 shortly before 6 a.m. during reportedly foggy conditions, Susquehanna Regional police said.

He pulled onto Route 441 and hit the side of a northbound truck, which overturned onto its side after the impact.

Self had to be extracted from his sedan with the help of the Bainbridge and Elizabethtown fire departments.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dale E. Diehl of York was operating the single-axle commercial box truck.

He was treated for minor injuries at the scene by Northwest EMS.

Susquehanna Regional police and the Northwest Crash Team are investigating the fatal crash.

Witnesses are asked to call police at 426-1158 or 426-1164.
