Comets' comeback falls short

Tyler Snook intercepted a Penn Manor pass from Patrick Rehm at the goal line with 50 seconds left, and Cedar Crest preserved a 19-13 victory Friday night in Lebanon.

Falcons' sophomore Charles Kyeremeh ran for 65 yards on seven carries in the Lancaster-Lebanon Section One win. Kyeremeh opened the scoring for the Falcons when he blazed past the Penn Manor defense for a 51-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

Cedar Crest senior Kyle Youtz ran the ball 13 times for a team-high 77 yards, and also hauled in one pass for 14 yards.

For Penn Manor, Carl Christmas carried the ball 20 times for a game-high 79 yards.

The Falcons will travel to West Lawn at 7 p.m. next Friday, where they will duel the Wilson Bulldogs in a Section One bout.

Northern Lebanon 61, Pequea Valley 6: Senior running back Travis Dresch led the Vikings' offense with 157 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries in the L-L Section Three win.

Senior quarterback Matt Nolan also accounted for three scores, running in two touchdowns and throwing one to senior wideout Derek Peiffer from 30 yards out.

The lone spark for the Braves' offense came from senior running back Andrew Babetski. He tallied more than half of his team's offensive yards with 43 on the ground and 17 in the air.
