Bakers Shoes has gained a foothold in the Boscov’s wing. The 2,039-square-foot store was formerly occupied by the Victoria’s Secret Beauty Store. As previously reported in the New Era, the space became available when Victoria’s Secret remodeled. Bakers Shoes sells shoes, boots and sandals for young and career women.

Master Cuts opened in the Kohl’s wing. Haircuts cost $12.95. Other services include perms, coloring, highlighting and waxing. The 1,155-square-foot store also sells a variety of hair products. No appointment is necessary.

Itz a Puzzle has found a niche in the JC Penny Wing. The 4,900-square-foot store sells puzzles, puzzle-related items and mind games. It is located in the space recently occupied by Halloween Scene.

Three businesses have made a temporary home at Park City. The following will be open through the holiday season:

Deer Country Farm and Lawn specializes in John Deere collectibles and memorabilia, including dinnerware sets and child-size battery-operated riding tractors. The 820-square-foot store is located in the West Wing.

Perfect Petzz, a Center Court kiosk, sells battery-operated stuffed puppies and kittens. The perpetually sleeping animals exhibit life-like breathing.

Treasures of the Earth, in the Boscov’s Wing, imports and sells the “original Magic Bean.” Each bean is encoded with a message ( including “I love you” and “Happy Holidays”) that appears on the plant’s stalk as it grows. The kiosk also sells carnivorous plants and a variety of Bonsai trees.

New stores in Ephrata

Two Ephrata women are moving their used clothing boutique from cyberspace to downtown Ephrata.

Sherry Zimmerman and Andrea Napoleonis opened Madelyn’s Closet, a high-end used clothing boutique at 46 E. Main St., across from Ephrata National Bank. The Ephrata sisters-in-law, previously sold clothes over eBay. Their “bricks and mortar” store specializes in name brand women’s and children’s clothing in excellent condition, Zimmerman said.

Store hours are 10 a.m to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Also in Ephrata, Diana Delmotte and Pat Spangler have expanded Pamper Me Please, a spa service business at 114 W. Main St.

The existing store houses an 800-square-foot retail center with natural foods and a coffee and juice bar.

Three new rooms (770 total square feet) in the back are being renovated so they can host tea parties for girls, “pamper parties” for adults and provide space for meditation, yoga, Pilates and belly dancing.

“Pamper parties” cater to bridal parties, baby showers or anyone looking for an excuse to get together, Delmotte said.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Private parties can be scheduled after hours.
